CHINA'S ECONOMY ALREADY AHEAD OF OURS?

President Hu Jintao heads back to China on Friday, his state visit to Washington having underscored his country's status as the United States' top economic rival — or even its superior, by one economist's assessment.

By traditional measures of gross domestic product — the value, in U.S. dollars, of total goods and services produced — the size of the U.S. economy is $14.6 trillion. China's GDP is only $5.7 trillion.

But if China's economy is assessed according to its "purchasing power," it may be a different story. "In a developing country," says Arvind Subramanian of the Peterson Institute for International Economics, "the amount it would cost you to get a haircut or go to a doctor would be much cheaper than what it would be in the United States.

When the size of the Chinese economy is measured by how many haircuts or doctor visits it would buy, the numbers change. "If you make that purchasing-power correction," Subramanian says, "I find that the Chinese economy is $14.8 trillion, which is larger than the American economy."

THERE IS ONLY ONE LIFE

THERE ARE MANY THINGS WE DON'T UNDERSTAND IN ANCIENT WRITINGS BECAUSE THEY DON'T RELATE TO OUR LIVES TODAY. FOLLOWING ARE SOME TEXTS THAT CONTINUALLY MAKE US MORE AWARE OF WHAT ETERNAL LIFE IS ALL ABOUT AND HOW TO LIVE IN IT:


The elements that are in us are in all things and have come to us from the ONE (the eternal ground of all being that many call God).

" 1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. "(Genesis 1:1-2)

Notice that before time and a physical being there was the ETERNAL ONE, always been, no beginning or end. THERE COULD HAVE BEEN BILLIONS OF YRS OF A FORMLESS AND EMPTY DARKNESS. The creation stories came from developing humans handing down symbols, then oral traditions as they learned to talk, and then writings (click on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creation_myth).

As this Spirit of God (ETERNAL INVISIBLE ONE) was hovering over the face of the deep things began to happen. Please be mindful that these ancient stories were written by men trying to explain how we got here, not THE ETERNAL ONE. In the Old Testament the writers told how they thought it all happened, how the gods kicked us out of the Garden of Eden, that we were sinners apart from God. Later the writers began to write commandments and laws on how through blood sacrifice of humans and animals we could return to the gods favor.

But wise people wanted to return to this ETERNAL ONE (Spirit of God).

When one of these wise men was asked why he had come he stated:

"The thief comes only to steal, slaughter, and destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly."
John 10:10

COULD IT BE THAT THIS SEARCHING HUMAN BEING HAD PRAYED AND MEDITATED AND OPENED HIMSELF UP TO THE ETERNAL ONE

TO LEAD AND GUIDE HIM IN TRUTH?

"nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,'
because the kingdom of God is within you."
Luke 17:21

WAIT A MINUTE! WE DON'T HAVE TO WAIT AND WORRY ON A

SO-CALLED 2ND COMING BECAUSE
THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS ALREADY WITHIN US?


But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away.
Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you;
but if I go, I will send him to you.
John 16:7

THERE IT IS: JESUS HAD TO GET OUT OF THE WAY SO THAT WE COULD BE STRAIGHT WIRED TO THE ETERNAL ONE WHO IS WITHIN US. ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS EMPTY OURSELVES OF OURSELVES AND LET THE ETERNAL ONE LIVE THROUGH US JUST AS JESUS AND ALL OTHERS WHO LIVE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD ARE DOING.

It doesn't matter who you are or what you have done,

the kingdom of God is already within you.

Just let Him use your mind and body to reach out to and help others
HAVE LIFE AND HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY.
